This recording is a continuation of a formal interview with Natan Shapiro. (Part 3 of 3. See MDV 494 and MDV 495) He talks about Yiddish and Russian books, as well as about a writer who recorded his biography, published in a green booklet. The conversation turns to a discussion about his family and various synagogues in Vinnytsya.

The next part of the tape contains a short episode where Faina Braverman’s husband shows a number of books to the AHEYM team. He wrote a book called Jews During the War.

The final segment of the tape contains the beginning of a formal interview with Faina Braverman. (Part 1 of 4. See MDV 497, MDV 498, and MDV 499) She discusses her Yiddish articles and other writings. The tape concludes with Braverman talking about recent Yiddish writers.
